Congratulations to Mike Reling, the Language Art Studio champion of audio and voice production! The Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce has voted Mike into Board Membership for a three year term. Mike is, as always, humbled and was honored just to be nominated!
On October 5, 2010, the Chamber issued a press release which stated:
The Board of Directors of the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Jenni Caverson, Paul Gunderson and Mike Reling were elected to three-year terms to the board by a recent vote of the membership. They will be participating in board activities for the remainder of 2010, including the upcoming board retreat; in preparation of taking their seats on the board on January 1, 2011; their terms will expire on December 31, 2013.
Mike’s introduction to Chamber members stated:
Mike has been the Morning Show Host and Operations Manager at the Eagle 101.5 since 1997. Mike has a passion for radio, and before residing in Gaylord he spent time in Detroit on morning shows on 102.7 KISS FM and 99.5 the Fox. Mike is a graduate of the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. Prior to radio broadcasting, Mike spent several years in the entertainment and hospitality industry. Mike is an avid golfer and loves living in Gaylord. He is married to wife Tricia who owns and operates the Language Art Studio. Mike was honored as the Alpenfest Parade Marshal in 2009 and as the citizen of the year by the Gaylord Kiwanis club in 2000.
In response to his appointment, Mike was heard to have said, “Kick-a$$, let’s ride the mini-bike!”
